A 13-minute Afrofuturist short film and ode to from the city's South Side residents. Synergizing dance styles through the surreal, this short demonstrates that rhythm bridges all times and spaces. Directed by Afrofuturism author Ytasha L. Womack, the film celebrates the narrative of freestyle dance, house music culture, and dance as a language in the African Diaspora and beyond. A Love Letter to the Ancestors From Chicago is a part of the Bar Star City project and made its debut at Afrotopia in Bristol, England.
