Yule Film Fest

Yule Film Fest is a holiday-inspired short film festival that takes place online between Sunday, December 19th, 2021 and Tuesday, December 21st, 2021. Yule Film Fest takes a great deal of pride in our diverse, international, and holiday followings so we have opened up our festival to six (6) film categories for 2021 after a large number of short films from 2020 did such a wonderful job of covering these segments.

The 3-day festival begins on Sunday (12/19) with a reflection of our inaugural year (the "wonderful" 2020) and opens some panel discussion of those previously and currently involved. On Monday (12/20), we begin the ceremonies and open with our Best Trailer, Best Student Shorts, and Best International Shorts. On Tuesday (12/21), we screen our Live-Action Holiday Shorts, Animated/Stopmotion Shorts, and Outlier (non-genre) Shorts. All Category Awards are announced immediately after their category screening!

Yule Film Fest was created in 2020 after a large fallout from venues due to COVID-19 and was very fortunate to find its home at BingeWave. Submissions come through FilmFreeway, and the festival is put on by Hartford Film Club (a small production company out of Hartford, CT). "We adapt, painfully or positively we do honestly adapt." Yule Film Fest is a showcase of holiday and unique short films that screen and are awarded in one swoop. Each year it vows to be weird, unique, and beautiful.
