Kwanzaa Film Festival

Kwanzaa Film Festival started in December of 2017. The festival focus on films that present films which reflect one of the seven principles of Kwanzaa which are the following; Unity, self determination, collective work and responsibility cooperative economics,purpose,creativity and faith. We also will be commemorating The 400 Years of African-American History reflecting on the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the first Africans in the English colonies. Any films that especially highlight the accomplishments made of African American will be strongly considered.
Our theme this year is to recognize and highlight the resilience and cultural contributions of Africans and African Americans over 400 years;
acknowledge the impact that slavery and laws that enforced racial discrimination had on the United States;encourage civic, patriotic, historical, educational, artistic, religious, and economic films to be part in anniversary activities; and commemoration.
