Welcome To

Eden Studios International Film Festival

The Eden Studios International Film Festival and Writers Competition was created to showcase films that were made with the directors vision and touch, scripts written with no bounderies. The Eden Studios International Festival accepts Films and Screenplays with audience appeal.

We at The Eden Studios International Film Festival believe that the quality and value of a film is not dependent on its budget, but it's creativity in telling a story.

In fact, films that are made with very little money have a bigger challenge of getting the story across than those with large budgets. So we've created a Low to No division of competition. All films in this catagory must have a final budget of less than $100,000 US.

We want to recognize and honor that effort and talent by giving you a professional platform to have your projects screened by our professional screeners. As well as having your film screened by an audience of eager movie goers, if your project wins. If your project wins, you'll not only share your vision with an audience of patrons at a movie theater, you'll also attend seminars, mixers and first class Award Show and Dinners, along with the other winners of this outstanding event.

The The Eden Studios International Film Festival and Writers Competition  will also provide you networking opportunities with Industry insiders and professionals from all levels.

Just because you didn't have a lot of money doesn't mean your work shouldn't be seen. The Eden Studios International Film Festival wants to celebrate the ingenuity, the talent and the perseverance of the indie Filmmakers and Writers. So submit today to the 5th Annual Eden Studios International Film Festival, where your film will be screened by real movie goers.

Here For A Good Time tells the story of Hampshire College, a tiny liberal arts school in Western Mass with a reputation for really knowing how to party. From the infamous "Trip or Treat" Halloween party to the annual Easter Kegg Hunt, Hampshire has been a destination for ravers, stoners, DJs and societal rebels since it opened its doors in 1970. This film was made by a single Hampshire student, during her final year at the school.

In the autumn, when the leaves are down, it’s the time that folk singing rabble rouser U. Utah Phillips thinks about hitting the rails. As a young man he crisscrossed the country on freight trains in search of teachers that would help to understand himself and where he came from. During this time he experienced the ultimate freedom of having no home ahead and none behind but he also experienced the works of mercy as he faced the difficulties of his journey. He discovered the dynamic struggle of people to organize themselves and demand a quality of life for themselves and those around them that provides bread yes, but roses too.

Tales From the Long Memory follows the people who look to Utah as their teacher now while they continue the work that inspired him throughout his life. In Detroit the Wobbly Kitchen shows how the simple act of feeding someone can spark a community of solidarity in a city struggling to rebuild its glory. In Madison the sweet sounds of labor songs echo through the capital building every day at noon. In Portland the Sisters of the Road Café serve up dignity and nourishment at a price you can afford. And in a quaint northern California gold rush town, a dedicated group of community members grow an idea into a house of hospitality called Utah’s Place.

America’s wild horses are in crisis.

For centuries horses have ploughed our fields and carried us into battle.

Caught in the crossfire over land use rights and a shrinking wild landscape, America’s wild horses are struggling to survive.

Some still roam wild, but those thousands that have been gathered are held in government contracted facilities with little hope for adoption.

150 million acres of western public lands belong to all of us, and we can do right by its wildlife. But the issues are complex, and won’t be solved by shouting on social media.

Join wildlife photographers Jamie Baldanza and Deb Lee Carson on their mission to document America’s most elusive herds of wild horses and examine their politically complicated lives.

In the docuseries Wild Lands Wild Horses, beautiful cinematography is woven into exclusive conversations with scientists, ranchers, government officials, and wildlife advocates, who — despite their differences — all share the same goal:

TO KEEP THE WEST WILD.
