Producer & Director Bio

Graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts in August 2020, he has produced and directed many

films. Most recently, two films "Haruwal" & "Vichora" his final year film was nominated and

"Vichora" won best original score at the National Youth Film Awards in July 2020. In 2018, his

third exhibition he screened 4 films he did in his first 2 years of Lasalle, two of which were

selected film festivals.

GurJeevaan enjoys storying telling because it's a powerful tool to get people to come together

and feel emotions they may not have before. He hopes to achieve to tell narrative feature films in

the years to come to tell stories on drama genre and Sikh history and culture in Singapore and

India. To get people together to learn and share about Sikhs.

“It ain’t how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, that’s

how winning is done”. This quote pushes him to be the best I can be.

Takahiro Ueno is a Japanese filmmaker and art director. His passion always has been exploring human lives in society and different values that he has tried to touch through filming. He has an MFA degree in Film Directing from the University of Edinburgh.

TRỊNH VĨNH PHÚC

Director

Director, cinematographer Trịnh Vĩnh Phúc, born in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, February 27th 1995. He graduated at Hoa Sen University with a Media Production and Management Bachelor Degree. He wrote and directed his first short film It’s a normal day, in 2016 and won the WTF Awards at Vindie Short Film Contest.

Since 2017, Phuc worked as a videographer and assistant editor for visual artist Ly Hoang Ly in her public art project boat home boat and her ongoing project HUGGING TREES – HUGGING YOUR LOVED ONES – HUGGING YOURSELF. In 2019, he directed the short film Angel’s Voice and won the Audience Awards at 48 Hour Film Project Viet Nam. In the same year, Phuc also wrote and directed Ông Trăng Đi Lạc - The Lost Mr.Moon and won the 2nd Awards at Chúng tôi hay chúng ta Film Contest, organized by USAID and DRD Vietnam.

Writer

Born in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, studied Media Production and Management, in which Van Anh holds a degree Bachelor of Art (July, 2020). She works as a writer, director,

assistant director, producer and producer assistant. In 2019, Van Anh has directed short films, music videos. She wrote and directed the first documentary A Journey To The Dreamland in 2020 which is about migrators. She also has joined in video performance art belonging to the Faithfully Flat (Ly Hoang Ly visual artist) . Until now, she has experience in 7 short films, 5 music videos, 1 documentary and 1 video performance art.
