School Today?

A child escapes the boredom of quarantine through her imagination.

Isolesque

The short describes, in an allegoric and symbolic way, the quarantine's routine of a girl. The regular situation, of calm and normality, is focused on the presence of another element that she can relate with. The imminent change is caused by the perception of the other as a negative element which brings to the broken of the balance and the creation of automatism, which substitutes the regular actions because there is the loss of the presentification due to the mirror of the other as a "Significant Ego".

When Winter Becomes Summer

As heated debates about integration and asylum policy take over everyday life in Germany, the numbers of Germans emigrating abroad have amounted to hundreds of thousands for years. One of the expats’ most popular destinations is Spain; more specifically, there is a certain kind of people for whom the destination of choice is the village Valle Gran Rey in the southwestern part of La Gomera, one of the Canaries.

The village hasn’t been an insiders’ tip for a long time: members of the 1968 generation came in the 1970s – a motley crowd of people who turned their back on society, rebels and hippies. They were followed suit by artists, nature lovers andvisionaries, who more often than not were looking for an antidote to the sensory overload and stress in their home country.

What kind of secret does this place hold?

Why did they abandon their native country?

Or did their country abandon them?

Director Ronald Urbanczyk is searching for answers reflected against his own migration background.

Paranoia

Due to the pandemic-related cancellation of our live concert, which was a celebration of the 100- year anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment, we decided to join forces remotely in a virtual suffragette parade!
