Down East Flick Fest Online

Underage Engineers @ Virtual Theater

Full Synopsis

Underage Engineers" – is a documentary film about how an individual can change the lives of a typical teenager - and how a teacher can also change under the influence of his pupils.

This is a film about transformation, discovering passion and forever having a positive impact on a child's approach to learning and life...We’ve observed our protagonists for more than three years, hitting them at the most important moment in their development, from the ages of 12 to 15 - and in so many ways their development has been shockingly atypical and thought-provoking. During their very first lesson they heard that they should throw away their textbooks, but this was only the beginning, as a this group of 13-year-olds from a small Polish town actually attempted to build satellite sail test models."Underage Engineers" pushes boundaries, but it is also full of humour and a reflection, and here it can be said it’s a portrait of modern youth - and in short, an inspiration for young viewers. And for many of us no less than a sentimental journey into out past."Underage Engineers" is selected for Millenium Docs Against Gravity and for competition in Zlin Film Festival (September 2020) and Satisfied Eye International Film Festival (October 2020)
