Synopsis

The Art of Being Fine

The plot

The short film "The Art Of Being Fine" - based on the director's same-titled poem - depicts the vicious circle of inner conflicts. The protagonist goes through different states of mind challenged by self-hatred, self-doubts and overwhelming impressions about everyday life. "The Art Of Being Fine" celebrates the beauty in the pain within a combination of a poetic monologue and snapshots of time.

The short film was created in Hanover (Germany) over a period of one year challenged by it's own struggles like not only COVID-19 but making a no-budget film with a non-professional crew with other full-time jobs to do, speaking not the same language while coping with reallife strokes of fate.

Directed by Lisa Gaffron
