The Lads
“The Lads” is a 4 part mini-series improvised and performed by KAT&KAT Comedy. The series is a mockumentary style following two lads from East London called Charlie and Dave. Each week the boys decide to set up various challenges to determine who’s the biggest lad, but they end up constantly drawing on each challenge and never really coming to an actual conclusion. As a comedy duo we wanted to explore male behaviours and create something funny, relatable and different to our previous sketches. The entire series is improvised, non-scripted and created from initial ideas, then just improvising in the moment. Our chemistry is extremely natural and we’ve filmed this series within 4 hours just from being intuitive with one another. We’re both incredibly passionate about this project and strongly feel there is a gap in the market for a young, cheeky female comedy-duo.
